Meet the Family

Three Olives Italian Kitchen and Bakery began as a simple home bakery in 2010. When owner Karen moved to Missouri in 2018, she continued baking from home until 2022, when she opened her first storefront, A Sweet Affair Bakery and Cafe. There, she built a loyal following with her passion for baking. While running her bakery, Karen realized that the community didn’t have many sit-down restaurants.

Inspired by that need—and by the love she and her two children, David and Brittney, share for Italian food—Three Olives Italian Kitchen and Bakery was born. The name holds a special meaning: the “three olives” represent Karen, David, and Brittney, a family bound together by tradition, food, and the joy of bringing people together around the
table.

Our Philosophy

At Three Olives Italian Kitchen and Bakery, we believe food is more than a meal—it’s an experience that brings people together. Inspired by our family’s love for authentic Italian flavors, we are dedicated to creating dishes that celebrate tradition, quality, and community.

Every plate that leaves our kitchen is made with fresh ingredients, care, and a touch of creativity. Just as our name represents the three of us—Karen, David, and Brittney—we want our guests to feel like family when they walk through our doors.

Our philosophy is simple:

  • Family First – We welcome every guest as if they were gathering at our own table.
  • Quality Always – Fresh, authentic, and handcrafted meals made with love.
  • Community Matters – We are proud to be part of Excelsior Springs and strive to give back by creating a warm, inviting place for friends and neighbors to gather.

At Three Olives, our mission is to blend tradition with hospitality—sharing not only food, but also the joy and connection that comes with it.
